Day 1: Nairobi

Arrive at Nairobi airport where the guide will have a big paper with your name on it on the arrival terminal. Drive to the hotel, check in, relax, and your guide will help you to orientate yourself on places to visit within Nairobi. You will be staying at the Ibis Styles Hotel on bed and breakfast basis.

Day 2: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru

Morning departure to Lake Nakuru National Park for a special sighting of the rare black rhino (an endangered species), one of the big five animals. After, enjoy a full day game drive with a picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight at Ziwa Bush Lodge / Sarova Woodlands.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha / Hell’s Gate

Breakfast at the hotel and thereafter depart to Hell’s Gate National Park for a bike tour and get the rare chance to view wildlife outside of a vehicle while exploring the park but you will also have the option to do the tour on the vehicle to explore the park. After lunch, enjoy an evening boat on Lake Naivasha and get a chance to view the hippos and birdlife. Dinner and overnight at Kongoni Lodge Naivasha.

Day 4: Naivasha to Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, start the safari to Maasai Mara National Reserve. Lunch will be served on arrival at the lodge. Arrival will be in the early afternoon for check in. There will be a big tent with a bed, mosquito net, and a bathroom at the AA Lodge for you. After getting settled, there will be a 2-hour game drive in Maasai Mara around 4 p.m. Dinner and overnight at AA Lodge / Jambo Mara Lodge.

Day 5: Maasai Mara

Full day game drive all the way to the Mara River; sighting of the great migration. Picnic lunch in the park will be under an umbrella tree overlooking the Mara River. Evening visit to a Maasai village to see their culture. Maasai is the local tribe and they have preserved at least 80% of their culture. Dinner and overnight at AA Lodge / Jambo Mara Lodge.

Day 6: Maasai Mara to Serengeti via Isebania border

Early breakfast and then depart for Serengeti at 6 a.m. through the Isebania border. Arrive at the border during lunchtime. There will be a 30-minute process of getting a visa. Handover to the Tanzanian driver. It will take a 3-hour drive from the border to the Serengeti gate. In Tanzania you use a four wheel drive land cruiser. Evening game drive en route to the camp. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Wildebeest Tented Camp / Serengeti Wild Camp.

Day 7: Serengeti

Set out for the endless open plains and stunning skies of the Serengeti, a world heritage site which is home to abundant wildlife and birdlife. Explore the endless plains dotted with trees and kopjes from which the majestic lions watch their kingdom from. You will have lunch, then continue with the game drive of the of the Serengeti camp till evening. Bathroom break will be at Seronera visitors’ center. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Wildebeest Tented Camp.

Day 8: Serengeti to Ngorongoro

After a relaxing morning and an early lunch, proceed to Ngorongoro, where the night will be spent at Marera Valley Lodge. In the afternoon you can just relax and have a swim. Dinner and overnight at Marera Valley Lodge / Country Lodge Karatu.

Day 9: Ngorongoro

Early breakfast, proceed directly to the crater floor for a full day crater tour to explore the largest inactive and intact volcanic caldera in the world. Also called Africa’s garden of eden it harbors a variety of wildlife and birdlife for all to witness its beauty. Lunch will be at a picnic site with packed lunch from the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Marera Valley Lodge / Country Lodge Karatu.

Day 10: Lake Manyara to Arusha

After breakfast, proceed for a full day game drive in beautiful Lake Manyara National Park. Get a chance to see the tree climbing lions, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, and many more species. Get a chance to see the soda ash lake that attract thousands of pink flamingos, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Great Rift Wall. Proceed to Arusha for drop off. Dinner and overnight at the Venus Premier Hotel.

Day 11: Arusha to Nairobi

Breakfast and private transfer to Nairobi or the airport at no extra cost.
