Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara

At 08:30, you will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel and drive for the journey to the Maasai Mara. You will drive through the agriculturally rich central highlands of Kenya with a stopover at the escarpment to view the magnificent East African Great Rift Valley. Then, descend to the floor of the escarpment to continue on to the Maasai Mara, arriving in time for lunch. There will be an afternoon game viewing in search of animals until sunset. Afterward, go back to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Maasai Mara

The whole day will be spent at Maasai Mara to explore the vastness of this wildlife haven where lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffalos, and zebras dominate the scene while antelopes, warthogs, and wildebeests form formidable numbers. Maasai Mara has the highest concentration of wildlife per square kilometer than any other park in the region. In addition, an optional local Masai village visit can be arranged. All of the meals for the day and overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 3: Masai Mara – Lake Naivasha

On this day, there will be a pre-morning game drive up to around 09:30. Afterward, depart for Lake Naivasha arriving in time for lunch. There will be an afternoon boat ride to the Crescent Island. Dinner and overnight stay will be at a budget hotel.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha – Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park that hosts the largest concentration of flamingoes that canopy the edge of this alkaline Rift Valley lake. The park also hosts lions, leopards, giraffes, warthogs, etc. There is a rhino sanctuary and thus rhino sightings are very high. Dinner and overnight stay will be at a budget hotel.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Amboseli

After breakfast, depart for Amboseli via Nairobi for lunch upon arrival. On the evening, if time permits, there will be an evening game drive. Some of the species of Amboseli include elephants, lions, cheetahs, and giraffes among many other plains game. Amboseli lies on the floors of Mount Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight stay will be at a camp.

Day 6: Amboseli

First thing in the morning, proceed for an early morning pre-breakfast game drive and return to the campsite for breakfast afterward. Then, enjoy a further game drive where plains game including zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and various antelopes can be seen. You will have lunch and leisure break at the camp then end with an evening game drive, looking out for the peak of Kilimanjaro, which may be seen in clear weather from the observation hill. Large herds of elephants and hippos can be seen bathing swamp grounds whose water source is Mount Kilimanjaro. All of the meals for the day and overnight stay will be at a camp.

Day 7: Amboseli – Nairobi

Early morning, enjoy a pre-breakfast game drive. After a late breakfast, depart Amboseli for Nairobi with lunch en-route, arriving in the evening. You will be dropped off at your hotel.
