DAY 1:NAIROBI TO LAKE NAIVASHA & HELLS GATE
Upon your arrival, you will be received by our representative and the driver at Nairobi airport or picked up from your Nairobi hotel in the morning. You will then proceed to Lake Naivasha arriving in the afternoon. Lunch will be served en route. You will spend the afternoon at your leisure enjoying the rich flora around the lake which attracts a variety of animals. You can choose to enjoy a boat ride paid on the ground to the Crescent Island of Lake Naivasha. You will finish your day with a visit to Hells Gate for spectacular scenery including the towering cliffs, water-gouged gorges, stark rock towers, scrub-clad volcanoes and belching plumes of geothermal steam which makes it one of the most atmospheric parks in Africa.
DAY 2:LAKE NAIVASHA TO LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
You will have early breakfast at the hotel and drive to Lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch. You will enjoy your lunch and check in with a game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park by the lakeside enjoying sightings of the rhinos. The lake’s abundance of algae attracts a vast quantity of flamingos that famously line the shore. Other bird species, warthogs, baboons and large mammals are also present at the lake. Some of the mammals you can expect to see include Rothschild giraffes, cape buffaloes, impalas, waterbucks, hippos, Colobus monkeys, spotted hyenas, zebras, gazelles, leopards, lions, pythons among others.
DAY 3:LAKE NAKURU TO MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
After breakfast, you will check out and drive to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival, you will have a short rest before you commence on a game drive. You will check in and have lunch. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a game drive till evening. At an extra cost, you can choose to enjoy your evening at a sundowner experience. With a sundowner bottle in your hand relaxing on a safari chair in a bar set up in the bush, you will enjoy the sky performing its nightly miracle after which you will return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 4:MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
This will be a busy day full of adventurous fun activities and game drives. You will wake up before dawn and embark on a life-changing hot air balloon safari high above the mighty Mara plains-an optional event at an extra cost. You will have breakfast at the camp and proceed for a morning game drive heading to the Mara River which is the site of the Great Migration of the thousands of wildebeests and zebras which occurs during the season; July – October. Lunch boxes will be ready for a full day. After lunch, you will proceed for an afternoon drive in search of the Big Five of Africa. You can choose to end your day with a specially arranged bush dinner under the African stars at an extra cost. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.
DAY 5: FULL DAY AT MASAI MARA
After breakfast, you will enjoy your game drive in the park, this is the best time to search for the animals you had not seen in the prior game drives and undertake any activity you had missed. You will choose to break for lunch or have it served at a picnic. At an extra cost, you can have a magical evening at the Masai village visit. You will drive up onto the Oloololo (which aptly means “zig-zag”) escarpment for the most unforgettable sundowners overlooking the vast Mara plains, as well as the Serengeti in the distance. As the sun gently dips over the horizon, you will stand around a blazing fire, complete with delicious snacks and a full bar and bartender, and watch in awe as Maasai warriors perform their traditional song and dance. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.
DAY 6 :MASAI MARA TO SERENGETI
You will wake up early, have breakfast and drive to the adjacent Serengeti National Park via the Isebania border. You will arrive in time for lunch, have your lunch and take a rest before going for an afternoon game drive in the park. You will enjoy your drive in search of the park animals till evening and return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 7 :FULL DAY AT SERENGETI
You will wake up early to enjoy a prebreakfast morning game drive in the park. The morning drive is the best time to see the Big Five and other resident creatures who are very active. You will return to the camp for a mid-morning breakfast after which your adventure continues.
You can choose to enjoy nature walks allowing you to sport reptiles, birds, insects and other rare plants along the way. You will be escorted by an armed ranger experienced in the terrain and who knows about the different species in the park.
Other interesting places to visit in Serengeti include Serengeti Visitor Center where you will get all the information you need to know about the park, the Olduvai Gorge called the cradle of mankind because it is where the very first remains were excavated by the Leakey Family, the beautiful Bologonja springs found in the northeastern corner, the Lobo Valley, the Meru Kopjes and bird viewing of more than 542 bird species recorded.
DAY 8 :SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO CRATER
You will wake up early, an opportunity to enjoy your final drive in the park after which you will return to the camp for a full breakfast. After breakfast, you will check out and continue with your safari heading to the Ngorongoro Conservation area. The main feature here is the astounding Ngorongoro Crater which is famous for being the largest inactive and intact volcanic caldera in the whole world. The crater is a result of a major explosion and collapse about 2 to 3 million years ago and was officially hailed as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa in 2015.
DAY 9 :NGORONGORO TO AIRPORT(Transfer)
You will enjoy your sleep leisurely till mid-morning, have breakfast and check out the camp. You will enjoy an en-route drive and a view of the phenomenal Ngorongoro Crater. You will be dropped off at Kilimanjaro Airport where you will connect your international flight. Thank you!
